Birding
When visiting Alafia River State Park, be sure to pack your binoculars and birding life list for a fantastic bird-watching experience. The park is home to a variety of wading birds, including egrets and herons, commonly spotted around the river and lake shores. Keep a keen eye out for the majestic roseate spoonbills, which can sometimes be seen foraging along the water’s edge. Additionally, be on the lookout for hawks, bald eagles, and owls soaring through the skies.
